Reporting a problem
Get a useful fault report to the station commander.
Before sending
Check Engineering for a current reading or recorded maintenance affecting the service. A pale reading means the monitor has been quiet, not that the service is down.
What to include
- The service name and the page or action that failed.
- The time it happened, including your time zone.
- What you expected and what happened instead.
- The exact visible error, with private information removed.
- Your browser or client name and whether the problem repeats.
Do not send passwords, session tokens, or private message contents. A short description of the failure is more useful than an entire mailbox.
Send the report
Use the station contact in the panel beside this manual. It opens your own mail application; if none is configured, copy the address into your usual mail service.
Guestbook transmissions are public after review. Send account and fault reports to the contact address instead of asking for them to be published in the guestbook.
“It broke” has been logged. Engineering requests one further noun.
