Accessing webmail

Read an existing hosted mailbox through Roundcube.

What you need

Webmail is for existing mail accounts on domains hosted by the station. Use the mailbox credentials you were given when the account was set up.

Read your mail

  1. Open webmail from the channel briefing.
  2. Enter your mailbox username and password as supplied to you.
  3. Use the folder list to find your inbox and the compose control to write a message.
  4. Sign out when finished, particularly on a shared device.

If login fails, check that you are using the mailbox account rather than a BBS or chat account. Ask the station commander if you do not know which username was assigned. Do not include a password in a support message.

Mailboxes and aliases

Self-service management is still planned. For an account or alias change, contact the station commander. The problem-reporting manual includes the contact route and useful details to provide.

The dedicated Mail ship handles the mail service. Roanoke's service record and the Mail dossier explain the recorded split.

Your messages have been assigned a ship. This does not entitle them to a captain's chair.
